Information we collect, and how we use it
Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, or with a sign-in link sent to your email, Saluki stores your name, email address, and profile photo if one is provided. If you choose Apple's Hide My Email, Saluki receives the private relay address Apple creates instead of your own.
Trip information. The trips you create: destination, dates, bookings, confirmation numbers, and any notes or preferences you add, such as dietary needs or Shabbat observance.
Forwarded confirmation emails. When you forward a booking confirmation to your trip's import address, Saluki stores the full email. This lets the app read the booking details out of it, and lets you check later exactly what was sent in if something looks wrong. If you add another email address you forward from, Saluki stores that address and sends it one confirmation email.
Payment information. The one-time payment to unlock sharing on a trip is handled entirely by Stripe. Saluki never sees or stores your card number.
We use this information to build and show your trip page, send confirmation and invite emails, and answer questions you ask inside the app.
Sharing, retention, your choices, and more
Who we share information with. Saluki uses a small set of outside services to run:
| Service | What it's used for |
|---|---|
| Stripe | Processing the one-time sharing payment |
| Anthropic | Reading trip and forwarded email content to pull out booking details, and generating other content in the app, like local tips and trip info |
| Resend | Sending and receiving the app's emails |
| Signing in | |
| Apple | Signing in |
| Supabase | Storing the database, hosted in the United States |
| Unsplash | Fetching a destination photo, using only the destination name, nothing personal |
We do not sell your information to anyone.
How long we keep it. We keep your information as long as your account or trip exists.
You can delete your account at any time with the Delete account link on your dashboard. If you can't sign in, email becca@lhasa.app from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you. Deleting your account removes your profile and trip information, including the photos and PDFs saved with your trips, from our active systems, generally within 30 days. Trips you own are deleted for everyone you shared them with; trips other people shared with you are not affected. A few narrow exceptions: information may remain in backups for a limited time until they're purged on their normal schedule, and we may keep what we're required to for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons. Stripe keeps its own payment records independently of Saluki, under its own policies.
Your choices. You can edit or delete trip information directly in the app at any time.
Security. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy. Saluki is not intended for, and should not be used by, anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
International users. Your information is stored in the United States. By using Saluki, you agree to that.
Changes to this policy. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and may notify you by email.
